Bulldogs Cartoon Character Design Illustration

This was a project in collaboration with Trunk Creative to create four bulldog characters to be used by some clients for personal use. The brief was to take four bulldogs to represent four old college friends and create a main illustration depicting cartoon characters of the dogs on a fishing boat. We tried a couple of variations initially as can be seen from the sketches below, before deciding on the final character facial expressions and colouring. You can see the final scene illustration below and the initial sketches and vector versions of the cartoons with alternative colours.
