Icons created for software company

I've recently completed this icon set for a business software company here in the UK. The company create bespoke software for all kinds of business, and these icons are going to replace the old icons they currently use when they revamp their programs.

I worked alongside a good friend of mine Paul Johnson, on behalf of his graphic design company Paul Johnson Design (PJD). I created the icon set in two different styles, but the final set were chosen as the simple coloured version (top).

Health and Safety Cartoons

As you may have seen from my previous posts showing my AntCreationsTV time lapse videos then you will probably know I have been working on a 'Health and Safety' themed calendar for a client of mine, RS Components. The project involved creating twelve (one for each month!) illustrations/cartoons depicting a health and safety scenario of some sort. Some personal related health and safety accidents and some health and safety at work issues, but all examples of 'how not to do it'!

Here is a small selection of the illustrations I created. You can see all twelve in my illustration health and safety portfolio.

Vanilla Recruitment Canvasses 01

I recently created a few canvas designs for the Vanilla Recruitment offices to add to the several I designed last year. The pics below show the canvas designs on the office walls created to help motivate staff. As you can see the branding uses photgraphs instead of anything illustrative accompanying a motivational quote. Bit different to my 'normal' work but fun to create.

I will post the other canvas designs when I get a chance to take a pic or two. The newer designs are much bigger than the above and designed to appeal more to the Vanilla customer. Let me know what you think!

Christmas themed time lapse video (I know it's late!)

I completed this artwork before Christmas but didn't get a chance to finalise the video in iMovie and upload to youtube until now. It was another illustration for a Health and Safety themed desktop calendar for a client of mine. I will post all twelve illustrations that I created soon, but in the meantime here is the illustrative process in a time lapse video for the December cartoon. Enjoy!

What? It's 2012 already?!

Happy New Year (and a belated Happy Christmas!). Late I know, but I was so busy the run up to the festive season I didn't get time to add any fresh content to my blog, or even to wish you all a Merry Christmas!

So here's hoping you had a good one, and wishing you all a happy, prosperous and joy filled year in 2012!

My first illustration time lapse video!

I've been meaning to create one of these awesome time lapse video's for a long time. I finally got around to it and the result is below, broadcast from my youtube channel, 'antcreationstv'. The illustration is part of a series of twelve I am working on at the moment, and I intend to create mini movies of them all.
