No, it's not the title of a new book featuring the lightning faced, bespectacled wizard boy. It describes more of the illustrations I created for The Prince's Trust charity dinner that took place recently. The artwork was printed as a double sided centrepiece for the tables and looked great amongst the Champagne glasses. I've attached the three illustrations I created below and a quick pic I took of the table itself. I'll post some professional shots of the event when I get hold of them and also more examples of the individual table illustrations. Let me know what you think if you fancy leaving a comment. Enjoy!
Willy Wonka you say? I'll throw in an Oompa Loompa and a Golden ticket too!
I was asked to create around 100 (YES 100!!!) illustrations recently. How long did I have to create them? Oh about a week! Cue long days, late nights and bleary eyes. My hand was also aching from all the Wacom Bamboo tablet action (wore out most of a nib). Anyway, here is a little sample of some of the work. I will post more of the illustrations soon (don't worry I won't post 100 times) and explain the job in more detail. Needless to say it was a lot of work and I was very happy when it was all finished. It all turned out great and was used by The Prince's Trust for their charity dinner. Here are my illustrated versions of Willy Wonka (Wilder not Depp), an Oompa Loompa and a Golden Ticket. Enjoy!
From the Archives...Lingerie Models Silhouettes
Just dug these up from the depths of an old Mac hard drive and thought I would share them with the World! I created these to sell as simple stock images many, many years ago. If any of you remember when silhouettes and shiny shadows were all the rage then you'll have an idea of how long ago it was. Hope you enjoy their new found freedom as they ended up not being used and have simply sat around doing absolutely nothing since I created them. Enjoy!
Second Leicester Tigers Family Cartoon
Here's the second Tigers Family cartoon strip that will appear in the match programme for this weekends home game between Leicester Tigers and Harlequins. Let me know if you see it in the programme and I would love to add a pic if you care to send me one. Enjoy!
One From The Archives
Was looking through a load of old work from my very old Mac G4 and came across this little character. It was one of my early attempts at not only caricatures but vector illustration in general. Brings back some memories (of mainly not having much of an idea what I was doing!). I'll dig out some more old illo's and post them here for all to see. Seems a shame to keep them hidden away, and it's like a little trip down memory lane (well for me at least). Enjoy!
Naturally Naked Logo Design
I've once again been working with a fantastic client of mine named Marcie DeWolf. Marcie runs 'The Healthy Mutt' which provides top quality and totally natural pet food for dogs. We have worked together on several projects and you can see examples of our previous work in my 'case studies' section by clicking on 'The Healthy Mutt'.
This time however we've worked on a logo for a new business venture and pet product range called 'Naturally Naked'. The brief was to create a dog character that could work independantly or as part of the logo with text. We tried several dogs and many different colour schemes to try to get the right look and feel for both the dog and the lettering. The dog needed to be fun and healthy looking but somehow convey the 'naked' message without being offensive in any way. The text needed to be friendly, healthy and natural but also professional. Here's the logo in full colour...
And here is the dog on his own (complete with a branch and leaf to cover his nakedness)...
You can also check out the sketches I created for the dog in different poses and with different expressions across his doggy chops by visiting my 'sketches' album at the official Ant Creations Facebook page. Enjoy!
The First Leicester Tigers Family Cartoon Strip
Here it is folks, the very first Tigers Family cartoon strip that appeared in the programme for the home game between Leicester Tigers and Worcester Warriors. Hopefully it will be the first of many! Enjoy!
Leicester Tigers Family NEW Official Cartoon Strip
It's official...The family have landed! Here they are, the brand new 'Tigers Family' exclusively created for Leicester Tigers. The Leicester Tigers (in case you don't know) are the most successful English rugby union club since the introduction of league rugby in 1987 and play their rugby at Welford Road in Leicester.
I've been working on this project for a few months now and it gives me great pleasure to finally unveil the brand new Tigers Family to the World! They will star in their very own cartoon strip that will appear in every Tigers home game programme, and also appear on various promotional material including emailers, posters, postcards and more. You can expect to see a lot more of the family as time goes on, the first strip is finished and will appear in Saturday's programme when the Tigers play Worcester Warriors. I'm very excited about this project and would love to know what you think. Enjoy!
BDHF British Dental Health Foundation Leaflet Illustrations
These illustrations were created in collaboration with Paul Johnson Design on behalf of the BDHF (British Dental Health Foundation). I had to adapt my style to fit in with the illustration style already being used by the BDHF on several other leaflets they currently use to promote healthy teeth and gums. The three women are to appear on their own leaflets which will highlight the problems that can be caused by chewing gum, chewing tobacco and the benefits of a healthy body and healthy teeth. Let me know if you like. Enjoy!
Life Sized Cutouts of F1 Pit Crew Guys
Just started working with a great new client called Clockwork Design Ltd. They needed four members of a pit crew illustrated in a slightly comic book style. A bit of a challenge as they were only to be printed in black and white, which meant getting creative with the shadows and highlights! The finished illustrations were printed life sized and are being used as a mock pit stop for drivers to practice pulling up to the pit crew at speed (without knocking anybody over!). Check out the final artwork below and a little pic of how the guys look together. As usual leave a comment if you have one. Enjoy!
